What’s with the open tap when brushing your teeth?
I’ve noticed that people (Americans more than others) feel the need to see or hear running water while brushing their teeth. Why? 2-5 gallons of water are wasted each time you do this. An average household (2 parents, 2 kids) could save 16-40 gallons of water per day if they would only close the tap, and that’s just from brushing teeth. More info on wasting/saving water can be found here: Colorado State University Link.
